The Norfolk Southern train rolls out of the Conway yard, making its way toward downtown Pittsburgh. As it glides past the Emsworth Locks and Dams, you can't help but notice the aftermath of the severe thunderstorms that swept through last night. Several coal barges broke free from their moorings and drifted downriver, leaving the members of the Army Corps of Engineers with a hefty task ahead. They’re definitely going to have their hands full over the next few days!
