On September 8, 2024, a train of the Eisenbahnfreunde Zollernbahn (EFZ) from Rottweil was used on the route of the Etzwilen-Singen Museum Railway (VES). The 2-10-0 freight steam locomotive 52 # 7596, built in 1944 by WLF Wiener Lokomotivfabrik Floridsdorf for the Deutsche Reichsbahn, crosses the Rhine on the Hemishofen viaduct with the train from Singen (Hohentwiel) on the journey to Etzwilen. The 25 meter high and 254 meter long bridge was opened in 1875, built on behalf of the Swiss National Railway. The line was never electrified and was closed in 2004. Since 2006, the Etzwilen-Singen Railway Preservation Association (SEV) has been operating guest locomotives on certain days.
