Arcade & Attica's classic GE center cabs cross the Cataraugus Creek on their way out of Arcade, NY. This was taken as part of a photo charter held to honor the center cabs on the eve of their demotion from full-time freight handling. The A&A, long the land of center-cabs, finally acquiesced and purchased their first road switcher, an ex-D&H RS-3u, to replace doubleheading the little GEs on revenue freight. While the #112 is the physically larger locomotive, it's only 65 tons, and the smaller #113 is an 80-tonner. Also, note the faded CNW logo on the rusty covered hopper immediately behind the power.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
