Trains move rapidly along Norfolk Southern's line across the north side of Cleveland. Here a westbound blasts over the Iron Curtain, the lift bridge serving as the gateway between the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie. Just south (right of photographer) at this time are "The Flats," a renewed (at the time) entertainment district. One could sit on a patio at Fagan's and watch trains all afternoon. Delightful.
To the left is Cleveland Municipal Stadium, colloguially known as The Mistake by the Lake. This stadium will shortly host its last home game, and the (original) Browns would depart shortly after for Baltimore.
