On the night of July 31st, 2024, Metro-North EMD GP35r 102 stands by as crews prepare Amtrak Acela 2193 for towing after the trainset encountered several mechanical issues at Stamford, Connecticut on the New Haven Line. Ultimately, the train was able to limp off Metro-North property (Manor Interlocking) under its own power after further troubleshooting. Amtrak would then tow it from there.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
