Remarks & Notes |
Metro-North's northbound Train No. 837 steadily accelerates out of the "rock cut" between CP 10 and CP 11. As the engineer notches out, it will have a straight express shot to Tarrytown, NY. To the right of the train is the Harlem River and the Columbia University boathouse and their sports stadium. It's a favorite area of mine to spend an afternoon and enjoy the scene of uncharacteristically well lit Metro-North locomotives. 837 is the last train to follow the off-peak stopping pattern before the rush hour. 839 will be first stop Croton-Harmon after Harlem-125th Street. |
