Jersey Heritage On Display. For the NJ Transit "Meet Our Rail Fleet: Past and Present" event on Sunday, September 15, 2024, a number of locomotives and cars were brought to Hoboken Terminal. Representing 2 eras of NJT Transit predecessor history, NJTR 4210 (GP40PH-2B) is painted in an Erie Railroad paint scheme. NJTR 4101 (GP40PH-2B) and 3372 (U34CH) are wearing variations on the New Jersey Department of Transportation scheme, with 3372 also displaying an EL for Erie Lackawanna. In the background, the terminal clock tower is another heritage item with its "Lackawanna" name, though it can be seen 365 days a year. The one day event drew substantial crowds from across the region.
Photos from across RP of NJ Transit’s 40th Anniversary specially painted & wrapped units.
Also included are the fully wrapped Veterans & Pride tribute units.
