Recently repainted CSXT 5262, a former BNSF, now KCS-owned Dash 9, and a pair of BNSF GEVOs lead 261-15 northbound past the neatly kept memorial to the various branches of the military. This train is gliding through the little river town of Buffalo, IA, and it's about as close to geographical east-west running as you can get along the Mississippi River in the state. In just about 10-15 minutes, they'd be slowing to a halt to begin their work at Nahant Yard on the south side of Davenport. Taken on the Canadian Pacific Ottumwa Subdivision.
