Remarks & Notes |
Have you ever wondered why the Rio Grande chose "Aspen Gold" for its main color? This shot might help! Deciduous trees at their peak fall colors line both sides of the tracks near the west end of Tolland in the Colorado Rockies. The elevation here is nearly 9,000 feet above sea level. Fall colors usually hit their peak anywhere between September 15 and September 30, depending on the year. In 2024, the first official day of fall is a fitting day for the golds to reach their peak. |
