Sunrise on Departure Day
Union Pacific Wasatch Class, or “4000” as the crews called them in its tenure leaves the House for the journey east to tour Union Pacific’s empire of today. Like the steam, it whispers to me a story of the steel wheel and magic carpet, the stories of this grand city on the high plain built around steam. I listened and took notes.
