Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway 4-8-2 number 555 had a total engine and tender weight of 519,000 lbs., and a tractive force of 53,800 lbs. It was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works, where my great, great uncle, Robert F. McKee, Sr., was a design engineer. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
