Remarks & Notes

Apparently they needed a lot of sand. These units were used in the plant to move huge unit trains of coal. Original railroad unknown. This operation was really great for railfans but operators wondered how they could transport unprepared coal for such a long way and still make money. Easy, double bill the customer. Oops! Bankrupt. Liquidated.
