Remarks & Notes
San Joaquin Valley Railroad GP38-2 3818, looking a bit ragged due to all the graffiti adorning it, was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division in November 1973 as Colorado & Western 2001. It was later sold to the Central Oregon & Pacific, where it originally wore number CORP 5001 and, later, CORP 3818. Now with its third owner, and fourth identity, this 51-year-old locomotive is still wearing its original CW (Frisco-ish) red and white paint! (Bakersfield, California – September 10, 2024)
