Back On Home Rails. The second to last F Unit built by EMD, New York, New Haven & Hartford FL-9 2058 (ex-WEBX 2024, exx-CTDX-2024, exxx-MNCW 534, exxxx-MNCW 5058, exxxxx-CR 5058, exxxxxx-PC 5058, née-NH 2058, 11/1960), has returned to New Haven home rails. After over four decades of passenger service, the unit was retired by Connecticut DOT and purchased by Webb Rail in 2018. It has since seen extensive restoration and is now repainted in its McGinnis/Mater NH colors and operational. Seen here on the night of Saturday, August 24, 2024, it now resides at the Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum in Lenox, Massachusetts. What are the plans for its future? Guess we’ll all have to stay tuned.
Photos of North America's favorite First Generation locomotives. EMD, ALCO, Baldwin; essentially anything that represents the OG wide cab diesel locomotive
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
A recent spike in a personal interest of the skill and work it takes to create and ultimately nail a shot in the dark using flash technology, leads to this album.
