Remarks & Notes
Steaming Into Arkville. Under a nice warm autumn sun, 1925 built Viscose Baldwin 0-4-0 steam engine was out and about on the Delaware & Ulster Railroad on the afternoon October 1, 2017. The DURR hosted the traveling steam engine for the weekend, and assigned it to pull its unique train of former Pennsylvania Railroad MP54s and open cars. The locomotive is able to loaded onto a trailer to travel by truck, and was a featured guest in those years at several northeast tourist railroads and events.

The scenic Adirondack and Catskill Mountains offer wonderful views, but political forces have made it difficult for railroads to stay in business.
