This shot of CNW 4158 about to cross Hwy F south of Eden, WI in July of 1985 is a sentimental favorite of mine. The train is on CNW's Airline subdivision, the closest railroad to our family cottage near Dundee, WI. Even though the Hwy F crossing is about 6 miles away, on a clear night you could hear the trains blowing for the crossing, sometimes with a response from the coyotes in the area. Alas, the line here has been gone for several decades now and sound of railroad horns is only a memory.
