Looking Out From The Cab. While the JD Tower building itself is a modern edifice at the Chesapeake and Ohio Historical Society in Clifton Forge, VA, former C&O EMD SD40 7534 (CSX 4617, CSX 8393, née-CO 7534, 3/1971) is a major part of the equipment display. Donated by CSX, it was restored at the Huntington, West Virgina shop. On October 19, 2022, the museum was open for visitors but not very crowded, which gave an opportunity to try some creative angles of the beautifully restored locomotive. While CO 7534 it is not operable, it is otherwise cosmetically similar to its as delivered appearance.
