Vermont Railway's "B&R Job" passes a pond north of East Dorset, VT on a beautiful summer morning in the Green Mountains. The B&R subdivision follows the path of Otter Creek south from Rutland through Mt. Tabor. Otter Creek originates near Mt. Tabor and veers east, away from the railroad, just north of this location. At a location near the hind end of this train, the tracks cross the Batten Kill, which originates in the hills to the west. The B&R sub will follow the Batten Kill south until Arlington, VT where that river veers west into New York State.
