You can't fight fame. The first set of brand new "Heritage" units from the NS "Family Tree" arrive at the museum before most had turned a revenue wheel. Looking back at this classic image, it occurred to me....all CSXT has to do is lash a set of their own "heritage" units up with the long hoods forward to "compete". I'm of the opinion CSX designed theirs to encourage fans to stand back from the ROW to get their images, you have to in order to get the full effect....whereas, as a friend put it to me, many railfans had one foot out the door of the hobby when NS threw this down upon us....might be a different world today had this not happened. Now, every outfit has embraced their past and fans rejoice.
