Remarks & Notes |
Ge 4/4 II # 626 "Malans" in the new "Pullman" livery cobalt blue/ivory is pulling the freight train 5732 from Ilanz to Untervaz-Landquart over the Hinterrhein bridge at Reichenau-Tamins. The locomotive was given a new livery in cobalt blue and ivory to match the “Alpine Classic Pullman Express” (ACPE) parlor cars, at the suggestion of the Friends of the Saloon Cars of the RhB Association. The ceremonial rollout took place in Landquart on September 17. The design of the locomotive was made by graphique artist Michaela Hardmeier in cooperation with the RhB. Name and coat of arms of Malans is now small on the grey frame visible. The locomotive will be given the name of Alby Glatt in 2025, "Mister Pullman" and founder of the saloon cars of the RhB association. The locomotive is now in normal use in front of freight trains or the Glacier Express. |
