A Trip To Vermont. On the morning of October 24, 2021, Amtrak Train 869 (Ethan Allen Qualification) was sitting alongside Train 290 in Rutland, Vermont, preparing to make its first trip to Burlington with AMTK 406 (F40NPCU). As 406 did not have PTC at this time, it had been sidelined for this and other issues for quite a while, but was the ideal cab unit to use for this training, making for a nice sea of Phase III painted stripes for America's Railroad. Revenue service to and from Burlington began on July 29, 2022.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
The successor to the Montrealer, the Vermonter runs between St. Albans, Vt., and Washington, DC. Much of the northern part of the route runs along the Connecticut and White Rivers.
