The all-new EMD SD70ACe/Lw locomotives are already on duty in Mongolian Gobi's railway lines. These engines belong to the Tavantolgoi private railway company, and two of them work on the Ulaanbaatar Railway JSC state mainline's coal and mining export traffic as renting contracts since August 2024. As a railway enthusiast and tour organizer, I'd like to say that you can see Soviet, Russian, Ukrainian, and Mongolian locomotives with these new US-made locomotives only on Mongolian Railways. Also, SD70ACe/Lw and Russian-made modern 2TE25KM locomotives can be heading together for heavy-weight trains. Nothing is impossible... ;) Join & Inquire about railfanning tours in Mongolia: monrailpic@gmail.com
