2015 Autumn Express. Amtrak's 3rd Annual Autumn Express covered the former Boston & Maine Railroad from Albany-Rensselaer, New York to East Deerfield, Massachusetts on Sunday, October 25, 2015. With a substantial consist of Phase III painted P40DC AMTK 822 and P42DC AMTK 145 back to back and 11 AmFleet cars, this sold out excursion was the first passenger train to coverage most of this mileage in decades and has not been repeated since. For five years from 2013-2017, the "Autumn Express" traversed rare freight mileage in the northeast, giving passengers an opportunity to both take in the fall foliage and experience routes that were seldom visited by the public on trains. The train is seen crossing the Hoosic River in Schaghticoke, New York.
This album seeks to portray classic New England and Upstate New York imagery. It showcases the most perfect examples of regional identity, with special attention to structures and landscape.
