With 85 cars in hand, this extra Job 21 rolls along near MP 31 on the Fairmont Sub. The extra job ran out of Mason City bound for the Fairmont, MN, and back. Lucky for us, the high heat is slowly this guy down, making for a nice evening chase in northern Iowa. Even though the train is poking along, a small grade has both 40's pounding here as the engineer puts the throttle in the left corner. This mainline connects the Spineline at Mason City, with the Worthington Sub at Butterfield Jct.
