Remarks & Notes
The Transit Museum And The Yankees. In the modern era, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority/MTA NYCT Subway and the New York Transit Museum have operated the vintage IRT Lo-V cars to Opening Day and Post Season Games to Yankee Stadium on the 4 Line with no extra charge for passengers. Though they have not yet operated for baseball in October this year and no announcements have been made as of yet, it had become a cherished tradition for baseball fans to appreciate the cars that operated on this line when the original Yankee Stadium was built and perhaps there will be a surprise. But the cars are ready to roll should the call come, as the New York Yankees square off against the Dodgers in Los Angeles tonight for Game 1.
