BL20GHMs. On the night of October 26, 2022, MTA Metro-North Railroad BL20GHMs MNCW 111 and 112 had recently returned from rebuild at Wabtec in Erie, Pennsylvania and were paired up for a test train. While BL20s can be found most other MNR lines on a regular basis, the Upper Hudson is an unusual place for them to run, but convenient when operating a test train based out of the Croton Yard. The 12 Brookville BL20GHs purchased in 2008 by Connecticut Department of Transportation and MTA Metro-North Railroad are unique to this railroad, and are generally used to operate with three-car consists on lesser used lines during off-peak hours.
