Remarks & Notes |
The 2-8-2 “Mikado” 141 R # 568 built by Baldwin in 1945 for the French state railroad SNCF with full steam in front of the fully booked "Train Chasse" 10-car extra train 31722 between Auvernier and Colombier. The coal-fired locomotive has a stoker, belongs to Sir Andrew Cook from the UK and is used by the 141 R 568 association in Vallorbe. Today's autumn trip went from Vallorbe via Lausanne-Fribourg-Bern-Lyss-Biel-Neuchâtel-Lausanne marshalling yard-Lausanne back to Vallorbe. The first car is a former french mail car, now rebuilt as tools and staff car. |
