Ya Gotta Believe. On Saturday, October 31, 2015, the MTA NYCT Subway/New York Transit Museum operated a Nostalgia Special for Game 4 of the World Series, with "Redbird" NYCT 9587 (R-36WF, St. Louis, 1963-1964) leading the train into the 34 Street-Hudson Yards Station on the deadhead move of the special. The venerable World's Fair cars ruled the Flushing/7 Line for over 40 years, and are still synonymous with this part of Queens. Due to not having CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) equipment, these cars rarely visit this line. Sadly for fans, the New York Mets would fall to the Kansas City Royal 5-3, leaving the series at 3-1.
