Between October 29 and 30, 2024, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) displayed a full-size, half-length mockup of its new CAF-built Green Line "Type 10" light rail vehicles (LRVs) at City Hall Plaza in Boston’s Government Center. The Type 10s are a 100% low-floor design with seven articulated sections, featuring the latest accessibility technology, modern passenger information systems, and enhanced safety equipment. These new vehicles will replace the older Type 7 and Type 8 cars, with service expected to begin in 2027.

The Type 10s feature a fully enclosed, spacious operator cab with CCTV screens and an armrest-mounted master controller.
