| A KTM Malaysian Railways Class 23 locomotive leads a road freight adjacent to the Batu Caves Kommuter Line. In the background are rock formations that are part of the Batu Cave Complex. "Batu" literally translates to cave. Today a popular tourist attraction for visitors to view the exciting Hindu temples and art; the indigenous Temuan peoples originally used these caves for shelter. Rich in art and history the Batu Caves also offer unique biodiversity due to the nature of the limestone caves as well as beautiful long tailed masques (monkeys). |
