Remarks & Notes
"SPV Returns to the Springfield Line"

On the afternoon of November 6th, 2024, the Naugatuck Railroad's former CTDOT Budd SPV-2000 "NAUG 1001" was towed by Berkshire & Eastern Railroad "PL-1" to the Berlin Wye on the MRS (Hartford) Line to be turned. The special trip was led by Ottawa Valley Railway (RLK) EMD GP40-2LW #3029, running from Waterbury, CT, to Berlin, CT, and back via the Terryville, New Britain, and Berlin Secondaries.

Budd SPV-2000 "NAUG 1001" leads B&E PL-1 through Berlin Station in Connecticut, briefly ending the railcar’s 38-year absence from the MRS (Hartford) Line.
