Veteran Paint Scheme On Veterans Day. On the evening of November 11, 2024, MTA Metro-North Railroad Train 847 was passing through the Ludlow Station in Yonkers, New York with MNCW 201 (40th Ann/MTA-Conrail) leading. In the background, the George Washington Bridge is lighted for Veterans Day, one of several holidays during the year when this is done for a holiday. The MNR locomotive is one of four wrapped in a predecessor's paint scheme in honor of the 40th anniversary of the railroad.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
