Remarks & Notes
East River Tunnel Construction Effects. Amtrak Train 63 was passing through MTA Metro-North Ludlow Station in Yonkers, New York on the morning of Monday, November 11, 2024 with two locomotives and ten cars. The lengthy consist will now be the new standard on the Maple Leaf, combining it with the Adirondack (Train 69) between New York Penn Station/Moynihan Train Hall and Albany-Rensselaer, New York, to accommodate East River Tunnel Construction between Penn Station and Sunnsyide Yard, reportedly for up to three years. Reciprocally, The southbound train will return as Train 64 (Maple Leaf) combined with Train 68 (Adirondack). Two other Empire Service trains are also canceled in each direction, and other train times have been changes. There are changes on the Northeast Corridor as well, so check your train times. At the Albany-Rensselaer, New York station, the train will split with the Maple Leaf going to Toronto and the Adirondack going to Montreal. Keen observers will note another change in this pic - the Adirondack portion of this train is five AmFleet Is instead of the usual mostly AmFleet II consist.
