On the morning of November 9th, 2024, MTA New York City Transit St. Louis Car Company R33 #9069 leads a 6-car train of Redbirds as it climbs alongside the Queensboro Bridge on the southern end of the BMT Astoria Line, exiting the 60th Street Tunnel Connection in Queens, New York. These classic A-Division (number) Line railcars, which were retired 21 years ago, were being transferred from Coney Island Yard in Brooklyn to the Flushing Line ('7' Train) in Queens via B-Division (letter) Lines for a movie shoot.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
