Remarks & Notes
Full-Length Shuttle. Installation of flood protection at Hammels Wye forced the reroute of A and S trains on the Rockaway Peninsula. During the reroute, A trains ran to Rock Park and S trains ran from there to Far Rock via the single-track backside of Hammel's Wye, which is not normally used for revenue service. Here, a New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R46 S train switches off the wye back onto the Rockaway Park branch, as seen from Beach 90th Street Station.
