Classics meet at Dock Road. There's just a little fall color beginning to show along the Connecticut River Valley as a pair of classics from the early years of the last century meet at Dock Road in Chester, CT. On the left is a nicely restored, late 1930s Ford Cabriolet and, on the right, it's the former Birmingham & Southeastern Locomotive #200, a 1923, superheated, Alco 2-8-0, which since 1970, has been known as The Valley Railroad's old #97. She's seen here taking 3 steel coaches northbound as part of an October 2024 photo shoot organized by Dak Dillon Photography and operated by the Valley Railroad Company of Essex, CT.
