Remarks & Notes

Santa Fe U30CG 8000 former nos. 400, U28GC 7908 (#358) and U30CG 8005 (#805) all ex-passenger locomotives that was on freight service on May 25, 1971 at Galesburg, Illinois. After the Amtrak takeover of passenger service on May 1, 1971, their steam Generators were removed and the units were repainted for freight service with a primary Chicago-Kansas City assignment.
