The New Look: A freshly painted C40-8W leads Berkshire and Eastern train LGT (Otherwise known as the Loaded Grain Train) as they exit the east portal of the Hoosac Tunnel on their way to the Ardent Mills location in Ayer, MA. It's still strange to see the G&W corporate orange, yellow, and black roaming the former Pan Am rails, but time moves on as many things do. These C40-8Ws were brought in by G&W to bolster the former Pan Am fleet and were previously part of the GECX lease fleet after being sold by their original owner, CSX.
