Track Maintenance.
A New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) C-Division work train sits at 174th Street Station on the IRT White Plains Road Line, awaiting maintenance forces to arrive. This setup is one of the most common types of work trains in the system: a locomotive, two flat cars carrying materials, and a crane car. The power for the train is R77 locomotive 883 (GE model SL50, 1983), accompanied by R141 flat car 614 (AMF Technotransport, 1997), R252 flat car OF848 (Harsco Rail, 2019-2021), and R53 crane car 253 (Fuji Heavy Industries, 1979).
