Phase VII And The Hudson Line. On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, Amtrak 49 (Lake Shore Limited) was led by the duo of AMTK 702 (P32AC-DM, Phase III) and 87 (P42DC, Phase VII) from New York Penn Station to Albany-Rensselaer, New York. Phase VII is the newest Amtrak paint scheme, is this is one of the last places on the network to be visited by a Phase VII unit in revenue service. Ironically, it was a year ago today on November 20, 2023, that ALC-42 units in testing service also covered this ground. The train is seen passing through Sleepy Hollow, New York at the location of the former General Motors plant that has been replaced by residential housing. The architecture of the building on the right is suggestive of the New York, Westchester & Boston Railway, but in fact is just a part of the parks department operation.
