Remarks & Notes
Jamaica Junctions. A Manhattan-bound New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) J train is seen approaching Myrtle Avenue Station, crossing the numerous switches, frogs, and diamonds at the junction of the Jamaica and Myrtle Avenue Lines. In the foreground is a single slip switch, which along with double slip switches are uncommon in the system, and a diamond crossing, which are downright rare on the main lines of the subway!
