BNSF 7601 and three other GEVOs creep H BRCKCK across the flyover on the southern end of BNSF's massive Galesburg, IL Yard, through control point West Waterman, and onto the Graham Cutoff toward Graham. This westbound wouldn't make it very far, as they'd get held for the Southwest Chief (Amtrak train #3) before being let onto the Southern Transcon via Graham and the Cameron Connection.
The shot from the IL-41 overpass has always been on my radar, but it just never came to pass until just now. Well worth the wait, in my opinion. And I feel like I got a pretty decent train for this too, not a shabby looking leader and the fact it's snaking through the various junctions and the flyover really demonstrates just how versatile of a terminal Galesburg is. They really can send any train in any number of directions from here, can't they? On the right is the large tie production/reclamation(?) plant on the southwest side of BNSF's yard here, owned by Koppers Inc. Taken on the BNSF Ottumwa Subdivision (Graham Cutoff).
