After a run from Los Angeles to San Diego, Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751 (along with Amtrak P42DC 13) has turned and will spend the night here at the old Santa Fe Depot (now used by Amtrak and commuter agency Coaster). At 20:30 (8:30 pm) BNSF Railway's freight train H-SDGBAR passes by as it heads from the San Diego Yard, a couple of miles to the south, to Barstow, 216 miles away in the Mojave Desert. A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
