On November 24, 2024, the CSX Santa Train rolled through the Cincinnati area, heading back to their home base in Florida after their annual journey on former Clinchfield Railroad rails in Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee. As the beautiful train glided around the connection from the Wilder Branch to the mainline to Corbin in Latonia, Kentucky, the Conductor smiled and exchanged a friendly wave with our youngest daughter Reagan, which absolutely made her day. Well done CSX!
CSX has diverse passenger operations that include office car specials, trips to major events like the Kentucky Derby, track geometry trains and the annual Santa Claus train over the northern section of the fallen flag Clinchfield Railroad.
