A typical SNIM locomotive operation on the ore train route between the port of Nouadhibou and the mines in the Zouérate area and vice versa. Two SDL40-2 locomotives are often used together with one of the six existing SD70ACS locomotives, which together have a good 10,000 HP. The empty ore train "V5", with loaded water tank cars from Boulenouar to Zouérate at the front, is pulled by the SDL40-2 CC # 114, SD70ACS CC # 125 and the SDL40-2 # 109.
