Albany & Eastern Railroad B23-7 4201, sitting in the AERC's facility in Lebanon, was built by General Electric in April 1978 for Conrail (CR 1904). It was later sold to Metro-North (MNCW 1904, later renumbered MNCW 802). It was eventually picked up by Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF 4201), being sold to Rick Franklin Corporation (RFRX 4201) in December 1999. RFRX leased it to the Ohio Central Railroad for a time, and also to the Port of Tillamook Bay (from 8/00 through 6/01). On the next track over is AERC GP38AC 2002 (AERC calls it a GP38-3), with also has a colorful lineage (ex-Union Pacific 1992, ex-Missouri-Kansas-Texas 335, ex-Illinois Central Gulf 9511, originally-Illinois Central 9511). AERC 2002 was built by EMD in February 1970. (Lebanon, Oregon – August 25, 2015)
