Remarks & Notes
Northeast of Africa's largest monolith Ben Amira, there are several minor mountains in the Mauritania desert, about 9 kilometer north of the railway track. The about 2 kilometer long empty ore train "V5" is near PK 404 of the 652 kilometer long line from the port of Nouadhibou to the ore mine of Zouérate, pulled by a typical SNIM locomotive consist of two SDL40-2 and one SD70ACS, CC # 114, # 125 and # 109. Behind the locomotives were 7 loaded water tank cars, filled in Boulenouar at PK 96 and serving for the town of Zouérate.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
