I have to go a bit on memory here as my notes were simply the engine road numbers (I was probably too excited by events to write anything down), but the morning (or early afternoon) of January 28, 1979, my friend Paul and I found this set of Conrail SD40-2s parked with a wrecking crane in tow in Haworth, NJ. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the passenger car. Now, if there was a crew on this or not, I do not remember. But somehow we found out that there was a wreck up in Cornwall.
