ALCO Action!
With Rahway Valley no. 15 splitting the view, Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad four and six-axle power is seen idling or at work in the Scranton railyard. The railroad is known as a bastion for operating and restoring ALCO and MLW in revenue service freight operations. At left are ALCO C425 no.s 2409, 2423, and 2457, sitting at idle awaiting work. At right are M636 no.s 3643 and 3602, M630 no. 3000, C636 no. 3642, and M420 no. 3560, the latter of which had recently returned from a lease to the New York, Susquehanna & Western.
