Holiday Lights Train In Manhattan. The day after Thanksgiving, MTA Metro-North Railroad released an 8-car set of M8s (9260 and 9248 bracketing) decorated with lights and a special holiday logo for the season. It has since operated in revenue service on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven Lines, and MNR promises more in the next few weeks. This the first time that Metro-North has operated such a train. Check out the MTA Metro-North Railroad social media pages for more info on schedules. The train is seen stopping at the Marble Hill Station in New York, New York on the evening of Sunday, December 1, 2024. Though it has not been a part of Manhattan Island for over a century, Marble Hill is still part of the political designations of the Country of New York/Borough of Manhattan.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
